Fall Schedule for Yoga With Dale

Every time we sit on the mat, call in our breath, connect to the earth, feel present in our bodies, and embrace our being, we are uniting ourselves in body, mind and spirit. We are healing the cracks and chasms of our human lives, and growing that innate sense of trust and oneness with the sacred and divine.

This is not something to dismiss or take lightly. While we may also be simply stretching, easing chronic pain, improving posture, healing our connective tissues, learning to move with more ease, building flexibility, cultivating patience, opening the flow of qi, calming our minds, discovering better sleep, balancing blood pressure, or influencing our autonomic nervous system; we are also remembering who we are. We are merging with our uniqueness on this earth, and awakening the divine feminine energy within us.

Most of us want to give rise to our creativity, nurture our intuition, and value our wholeness. Many of us want to heal and expand our self awareness. Many of us understand that it is in the quiet stillness of yin that we can come to better understand ourselves and the earth that supports us.

We all embody both yin and yang energy. Yin is a symbol of earth, femaleness, water, darkness, passivity, and reception. Yang symbolizes heaven, maleness, fire, light, activity, and penetration. Yin and Yang are both contrary and complementary. Both are beautiful. Both are essential. In this world of ‘doing’, we find yang, in the world of ‘being’ we find yin.

All of the yoga classes scheduled for this fall place emphasis on nurturing our connection to the earth, our capacity to gently flow like water, and our ability to release the stresses and tensions of body and mind. Those who have been coming to classes know the power of the collective in co-creating a nourishing and nurturing space around us.

We incorporate meditation, mindfulness, qi gong, meridian theory, breath work, and sound healing into yoga to create a unique experience and to foster a feeling of inner peace and tranquility that can fortify us for the daily interactions of this busy world. Out of our participation comes many gifts. I invite you to go to www.dalepearsonyoga.com and have a look at upcoming offerings beginning the week of September 10. You can register online to secure your spot up until the day a class begins, or contact me directly after September 1 (I’ll be out of the country until then.) Class size is limited and spaces fill quickly.

To further enhance our feminine energy, I also invite each of you to join me at Venus Rising, September 16. Hosted by the beautiful and heart-centered Kerry Fong-Jean, this event brings people together to rest and recharge. Everyone is welcome, and there will be a variety of individual and group experiences to participate in, from meditation, to reiki shares, intuitive readings, yoga sessions, sound baths, crafts, and more. It is a day of love and celebration, with free entry, and all donated proceeds to support Girls Inc. and Interval House. I hope I will see you there.

For those of you who don’t know, I brought Girls Incorporated into Canada many years ago, to protect the rights of girls and young women to have discrete spaces in which to grow and reflect. At that time we incorporated five Girls Incorporateds in different regions of Canada. We used to hold wonderful 3 day events call Teen Getaways, and still to this day I hear from girls who say these experiences changed their lives, because we helped to connect them to that innate sense of trust and oneness and intuition that I spoke of earlier. I encourage you to come to Venus Rising and share in this special day, because the opportunity for growth and transformation is ongoing, no matter what our age.
