Hello, everyone,

Happy New Year! May this year bring fresh horizons to support our blossoming authenticity and renewal! We need to ‘show up’ for ourselves, not with reluctant effort, but with heartfelt intention and love.

This January I begin with Chair and Qi classes on Zoom, on Wednesday mornings. More will be added after I receive my winter work schedule within the next two weeks. Chair and Qi is one of my favourite sessions, as we warm and exercise every part of our bodies, and combine yoga with gentle qi gong and mindfulness practice, bringing us into a whole state of balance. Regardless of age or flexibility, almost everyone can do these simple, beneficial practices.

As most of you know, you can register on my website at www.dalepearsonyoga.com, and classes generally come in monthly groupings, but you can always hop in at anytime by e-mailing me at anndalepearson@icloud.com and I will send you the link.

I would welcome feedback on any classes or workshops you might be interested in and time slots that would work for you. I’d love to explore Yin Yoga with you in relation to our meridians (energy pathways) and health, and through the Chakras (energy centres). No matter which approach we take, Yin Yoga, unlike exercise that targets muscle, helps us to go deeply into our connective tissues to release pent up stress and emotions. We experience working with the 12 paired meridians, what happens when they’re out of balance, and use Yin Yoga to heal and soothe the concerns and frustrations that can hamper our wellbeing.

Every gesture, every commitment to supporting ourselves and our wellbeing, is of value. Each thing we do that helps us to nourish better, sleep better, move better, and be more present, has lasting benefit.

I leave you with some words of wisdom from Persian poet Hafiz. It's time to make a truce with ourselves, to embrace the truth and wisdom of who we are, and commit to our wellbeing with joy and abandon.
